Real life Inspiring Stories that touched Heart

1.Marvan Attapattu (Srilankan Cricketer)

It is a story that India’s most loved cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle loves to tell time and again.

Making his Test debut for Sri Lanka, Marwan made a duck in his first innings.

And again, in their second innings.

He dropped her down. So he went to the nets for more practice.

More first class cricket. more runs. Waiting for that elusive call. And twenty one months later he got a second chance.

This time he tried even harder.

His scores: 0 in the first innings, 1 in the second. Fell again, he went to grind again. And scored a lot of runs in first class cricket. Runs that seemed insufficient to erase the painful memories of the Test failures.

Well, seventeen months later, opportunity knocked again. Marwan was put in to bat in both the innings of the Test. His scores: 0 and 0. Phew!

back to grinding. Will the selectors give him another chance? He said that he lacked the temperament for the big match. His technique was not good enough at the highest level. Fearless, Marvan kept trying.

After three years he got another chance. This time he scored runs. He came well. And in an illustrious career that followed, Marwan scored over 5000 runs for Sri Lanka. These include sixteen centuries and six double centuries. And he went on to captain his country. All this despite it taking more than six years for him to score his second run in Test cricket.

Very good! What a man!

How many of us can handle failure like he did?

Six years of trying, and failing. He may have been tempted to pursue another career. Maybe change his game. play county cricket. Or, oh well, just leave. But he didn’t. And it made a difference.

We all hear stories of talented people who gave up before realizing their potential. People who changed jobs and careers after getting success.

The next time you are faced with potential failure or rejection, think of Marvan. And remember this: If you don’t give up, if you believe in yourself, if you persevere, success will come in the end. What’s more, you can become a captain one day.

Never give up.

never ever give up!

3. S. Nambi Narayanan – Heart Touching Stories on Humanity

S Nambi Narayanan is an Indian aerospace engineer who worked for the Indian Space Research Organization and made significant contributions to the Indian space program by developing the Vikas rocket engine.

This was in 1994, when Nambi Narayanan was leading ISRO’s cryogenic rocket engine project and acquiring technology from Russia. On 30 November 1994, three policemen reached his house. At that time Nambi did not know what was going to happen to him. The first question he asked the policemen was, ‘Have I been arrested?’ In response, the policemen said, ‘No’.

Nambi, completely unaware of the matter, was taken to court and then arrested. After this, this news spread like a fire in the media and he was even called a traitor. He was accused of defrauding ISRO, leaking Defense Department information to two Maldivian women, and selling rocket technology to Pakistan.

Nambi was sent to judicial custody for 11 days on charges of corruption and violation of India’s Official Secrets Act. Several reports claimed that Nambi Narayanan was beaten, made to bed and subjected to inhumane treatment during the custody of the investigating officers. He was forced to answer questions standing up straight for 30 hours. A lie detector test was also conducted on Nambi Narayan. But it is said that its report never reached the court.

A month after Nambi’s arrest, the case was transferred from the Kerala Intelligence Bureau to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and he was released on bail on 19 January 1995. In 1996, the CBI had termed the allegations against him as false. During this, an internal investigation was also done by ISRO and it was found that no drawing of the cryogenic engine was missing.

The CBI had filed a 104-page charge sheet in this case, in which they did not find any evidence against Nambi. In 1998, the Kerala government tried to reopen the case by approaching the Supreme Court. But the Supreme Court rejected the petition.

After getting a clean chit, Nambi started working as an administrator in ISRO. The Supreme Court had in 2018 ordered a conspiracy probe in the case.

Nambi himself had filed a false case against the Kerala government. He was given a compensation of Rs 50 lakh. In 2019, the Kerala government announced an additional one crore rupees to Nambi Narayanan for his wrongful arrest and harassment.

Who had conspired against Nambi, it is not known till date, but due to this incident all his respect, dignity and happiness were shattered. Khanna immediately agreed (we all know how generous he is), and a 60-year-old woman dressed in a beautiful sari with flowers in her hair arrived. He bowed respectfully and said, “pari panna,” which is the custom of touching the feet of one’s elders as a sign of respect.

Khanna asked her where she was from, and she replied that she might not have heard of the place as it was a small village, and she had been married there in Kolhapur. His immediate response was, “Yes, it is one of my favorite cities. The difference between the best molasses and the best chili.”

She smiled and asked him to laugh too, just like a mother greets her child. Khanna smiled, and he looked at her with moist eyes and then thanked her.

The woman then stood up to leave and told him that she watches all the episodes of MasterChef India just to see him because it reminds her of her late son, and it seems that his smile brings her son back to life .

Vikas Khanna got stuck. She blessed them and then left. Khanna then shared that whenever he feels low or under pressure, he thinks about the woman’s words and smiles to bring a smile on her face.
